Using machine learning, MIT chemical engineers have created a computational model that can predict how well any given molecule will dissolve in an organic solvent — a key step in the synthesis of nearly any pharmaceutical. This type of prediction could make it much easier to develop new ways to produce drugs and other useful molecules. The new model, which predicts how much of a solute will dissolve in a particular solvent, should help chemists to choose the right solvent for any given reaction in their synthesis, the researchers say. Common organic solvents include ethanol and acetone, and there are hundreds…

How do whales influence Bitcoin? If anyone comes close to “moving the market,” it’s the whales. These are the investors holding thousands of BTC, often institutions, funds or OG holders from the early days. And in 2025, they’re more active than ever. The number of wallets holding over 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC) has climbed to 1,455 as of May 2025, marking a renewed wave of accumulation. Some of this growth is driven by institutional players: Strategy alone now holds over 580,000 BTC (around 2.76% of total supply), while BlackRock has added Bitcoin allocations to its iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF and related portfolios. Together,…

South Korea’s top financial regulator ordered crypto exchanges to suspend new digital asset lending services, citing mounting risks and highlighting a need for clear rules. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) said on Tuesday that it sent letters to exchanges requesting the suspension of new crypto lending until it completes guidelines. Hi, Jutta writing again – I initially introduced myself when we started the bounty program earlier this year and I’m happy to provide you with an update on what’s happening on the security side prior and throughout launch. We have had some high quality submissions by bounty hunters – kudos for the creative exploits sent along that the bugs made possible. The number of submissions recently rose. Hence we decided and are announcing that we will continue the bounty program at least throughout the Frontier phase of Ethereum’s launch plan – see Gav’s and Vinay’s respective blog posts. LLM agents have become powerful enough to handle complex tasks, ranging from web research and report generation to data analysis and multi-step software workflows. However, they struggle with procedural memory, which is often rigid, manually designed, or locked inside model weights today. This makes them fragile: unexpected events like network failures or UI changes can force a complete restart. Unlike humans, who learn by reusing past experiences as routines, current LLM agents lack a systematic way to build, refine, and reuse procedural skills. Existing frameworks offer abstractions but leave the optimization of memory life-cycles largely unresolved.  Memory plays a crucial…

GameFi is broken – if it ever worked to begin with. Play-to-earn relied on complicated tokenomics (often inflationary), with gameplay driven largely by luck. And if you really wanted to earn more, the easiest way was by bot-powered reward farming. As a result, the GameFi sector hasn’t really gotten off the ground, mired in crappy gameplay and poor mechanics. But Tapzi ($TAPZI) could change everything, finally fulfilling GameFi’s promise. GameFi Sector Outlook: Stormy, But Rays of Light Activity in blockchain gaming has softened in recent months.
