Spooky Season is upon us, and with it come countless horror-themed video game sales. At the Humble Bundle Store, the big ‘Month of Terror’ celebration has kicked off, and we’ve taken a good look at every bloody deal to unearth the most terrifying and bang-for-your-buck ones.
If you’re new to Humble Bundle, you just need to know the vast majority of the games sold there are activated on Steam (PC) unless stated otherwise. DRM-free games are also common, which is a neat bonus in some cases. Regardless, make sure that you read through the full description and details for each game before pulling the trigger.
Without further ado, here are our favorite deals, including both old and new video games, which are currently up and ready to catch curious gamers off guard.
Humble Store’s Month of Terror Sale 2025 Best Deals
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Season One – 60% off – $39.99
Supermassive Games’ Dark Pictures Anthology will soon start its second season with the ambitious sci-fi horror Directive 8020. Meanwhile, it’s hard to go wrong with the bundle that includes Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil in Me. Each interactive movie-like game is standalone, so they’re perfect for a lazy weekend day or spooky night reunion with friends.
Little Nightmares II – 67% off – $9.89
Speaking of Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III is coming later this week, so now it’s the perfect time to grab its predecessor while on deep sale. Little Nightmares II went and made the striking formula of the original even more fun and terrifying. If you’re looking for something slightly off-beat and quite heavy on platforming and puzzles, don’t skip it.
Alien: Isolation – 75% off – $9.99
After all these years, we still haven’t gotten over Alien: Isolation’s excellent take on the famous sci-fi horror franchise, and confirmation of a sequel finally being put in development means those who skipped it back in the day should look into experiencing the deep space horror and conspiracy Amanda Ripley must face as she looks for dark answers regarding her mother’s disappearance. This one’s an all-timer.
Condemned: Criminal Origins – 75% off – $2.49
Few games have so perfectly mixed tense combat encounters with pure dread as Condemned 1 & 2. On PC, we only have access to the first one, yet that’s more than enough to chill the blood of anyone looking for a different type of fright. At $2.49, this one’s a must-grab as long as you don’t mind the first-person view.
Chernobylite – 80% off – $4.99
While it looks like and draws a lot of inspiration from the iconic STALKER series, Chernobylite does things a bit differently. Its open world is more restrained and area-based; there’s a huge focus on non-linear narrative events and establishing bonds with a cast of characters; and last but not least, it’s not as big, making it the perfect open-ended ride for the Spooky Season.
V Rising – 40% off – $20.99
If you’d rather be the monster, V Rising’s twist on the survival and crafting formula shouldn’t be overlooked. Its third-person and top-down view makes it instantly accessible, and it’s got more than enough unique ideas to escape the limits of other survival experiences, successfully blending action-RPG elements with sandbox gameplay and creative systems.
Pumpkin Jack – 80% off – $5.99
Pumpkin Jack is another off-beat pick we’re fond of. With a healthy mix of action-adventure gameplay, and traditional 3D platforming, it’s the closest we’ve gotten in years to a new MediEvil. Moreover, it packs more than enough puzzles to change up the pace every few sections. This one’s a blast of the past even if it was released in 2020.
The Mummy Demastered – 60% off – $7.99
Though the games industry has largely forgotten about movie tie-in games, we still get some from time to time. Personally, we wish most of them were as creative and unexpected as The Mummy Demastered, WayForward creatively unhinged take on the awful 2017 movie. Beyond the basic premise of Princess Ahmanet awakening and causing chaos, the game goes off in a different direction and has fun with a traditional Metroidvania structure. Without revealing more, it’s one of the most pleasing 2D surprises of the last decade or so.
Pathologic Classic HD – 90% off – $1.29
As far as modern horror classics go, Pathologic is up there. You might be tempted to jump into the sequels first, but trust us, the original’s well worth your time and a fascinating use of limited resources. The second game is largely considered an ambitious remake/reboot of sorts, but there’s something about the first one’s exploration of a town besieged by a plague that feels especially unnerving. And just look at that crazy deep discount!
Pacific Drive – 50% off – $14.99
Do you like story-rich games? Do you enjoy deeply mysterious settings? Are you into driving? Pacific Drive covers all that and then some. It’s by far one of the most fascinating video games release in recent years, and it’s gameplay loop will keep you hooked regardless of how scared you’re of all the spooky phenomena of the Olympic Exclusion Zone.
