“There’s still room in our Steam family” – Someone has 40,000 games in their library and the community is stunned.

Is it possible to have all Steam games? One user from China seems to be trying to do just that.

A Steam player from Shanghai is currently shaking many users to their core. Their profile boasts a badge that you get for owning over 40,000 games. However, upon closer inspection, you realize that the number is actually much higher.

Too much of a good thing?

On Reddit, users are amazed by the following post. A profile at just level 303 with over 40,000 games.

The 40K Game Collector badge has been unlocked by Steam user Sonix

Funny guys like N6N would like to welcome the player named Sonix to the Steam family so that they can also benefit from the large library. However, most people are wondering how this is even possible.
“A real prince” or the “son of a corrupt politician,” speculates RandArtz. By the way, you can simply search for the name Sonix on Steam and view the profile directly.

There are actually more

Steam does not count Free2Play games or games that are sold off for 50 cents as cheap goods for the badge. However, the account can be via SteamDB.

According to the calculator, which is supposed to determine the value of the account, SteamDB records a total of 82,886 games for Sonix, more than twice as many as the badge suggests.

If you wanted to buy all of these games at the current price, it would cost a little over €600,000 – so being a prince wouldn’t hurt at all.

Then you could also hire someone to play all these games, because one human lifetime isn’t enough to do so. On the website HowLongToBeat you can calculate the playing time for accounts.
Multiplayer titles are not included. However, the site has reached its limit at 2,500 out of 40,000 games, but even to finish these games, you would have to play non-stop for almost seven years.

Incidentally, Sonix’s most played game is the co-op shooter Alien Swarm. The title is from 2010, completely free, and has already thrilled the collector for 551 hours. He has even secured all the achievements. He has quite a few of them, too. 78,462, to be exact.
