MidOne makes pro Dota return with MOUZ after almost 2 years out

The post-The International 2025 roster shuffle is in full swing, and MOUZ have revealed a brand-new Dota 2 roster, which includes the return of Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, who has been inactive since early 2024.

MidOne Returns

For fans who have been following Dota for a while, MidOne is a familiar name. The 29-year-old played for some of the biggest organizations in the scene, including Fnatic, OG, and Team Secret. His last official stint was with Secret, where he competed until January 2024 before stepping away from the game.

Though he’s been inactive for most of his break, MidOne did make several cameo appearances as an emergency stand-in for Tundra Esports. He played for the team at PGL Wallachia Season 2 and Season 4, where he helped the team finish top three both times while playing as a mid-laner and an offlaner.

During his time away, MidOne made sure to keep his skills sharp. He currently sits at rank 47 on the European leaderboards, demonstrating that he still possesses the mechanics to compete against the world’s best.

Having been a world-class mid-laner in the past, the real question is whether he can still perform at that level. MidOne will be chasing the peak form he showed between 2017 and 2019 in his Team Secret days, where he won two Majors and several other S-Tier events.

Crystallis Finds New Home

Joining MidOne is another familiar name: Remco “Crystallis” Arets. The carry was just recently benched by Tundra Esports following its disappointing 7th-8th place finish at TI14. But, it didn’t take long for Crystallis to land a spot in a new team, as he quickly landed on his feet with MOUZ, arriving on loan from Tundra.

Crystallis will pair up in the safe lane with veteran captain Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp to form a Dutch duo. The latter is best known for his time under the Gaimin Gladiators banner, where he won three Dota 2 Majors.

Both Crystallis and Seleri have been at the very top of the Dota 2 scene before, and now they’ll look to climb back there together – eager to prove themselves once again.

Team Secret Reunion in New MOUZ Roster

The new MOUZ lineup also marks a reunion for MidOne and Crystallis, who briefly played together on Team Secret from late 2023 to early 2024. Though the roster didn’t last long, the two are now getting another shot to make things work under a different banner.

The pair is accompanied by some very familiar faces. The full MOUZ roster for the upcoming season is:

  • Remco “Crystallis” Arets (Loan)
  • Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng
  • Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan
  • Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy
  • Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp (Captain)

Our newly formed Dota 2 roster is currently playing the DreamLeague S27 Open Qualifier.

With a mix of proven veterans and hungry returnees, the MOUZ roster has plenty of eyes on it heading into the next season.

The MOUZ organization hasn’t made much noise on the international stage in recent years, often stuck in qualifier hell. However, with veterans like MidOne and Seleri leading the charge, MOUZ now has a real opportunity to put its name back on the global stage and finally re-establish itself in Dota 2.
