100 Thieves has successfully qualified for the League of Legends Worlds 2025 in China after winning the LTA Regional Championship.

The roster secured a place in the international event after defying expectations in North America, defeating RED Canids with a 3-0 sweep in the Lower Bracket Semi-finals.

The match between 100 Thieves and RED Canids took place on September 21st, after both teams successfully knocked out paiN Gaming and Shopify Rebellion, respectively, in the Lower bracket Quarterfinals.

Despite RED Canids’ best efforts, 100 Thieves won all three games in the Bo5 match. Standout players include Lim ‘Quid‘ Hyeon-seung, who secured 15 eliminations and 47,309 damage as Sylas in game two, and Victor ‘FBI‘ Huang, who achieved 20 assists in the second game as Senna.

As of writing, the LTA Championship is still ongoing, with 100 Thieves set to compete against Keyd Stars in the Lower Bracket Finals, and if it succeeds, it will then play against FlyQuest in the Grand Finals.

The League of Legends roster is now set to compete in the season-end tournament in China. It will face off against 16 other teams to be crowned the champions of the season, receiving the lion’s share of a $5m (~£4.1m) prize pool.

100 Thieves Reach Worlds for the Last Time

The qualification comes as a shock to many fans, considering how 100 Thieves announced earlier this year that it would be stepping away from the LTA scene after the 2025 season concluded.

The news of its departure came a year after the organisation sold its permanent franchise slot in the LCS back to Riot in 2024, and continued to play from then on as a provisional guest team.

For many fans, 100 Thieves’ participation in Worlds 2025 represents a final chapter for an organisation that has been competing on the global stage since 2017.
