Game data platform GRID has acquired the intellectual property assets of B2B esports data company Bayes Esports after the latter filed for insolvency.
As a result of the acquisition, the assets will be integrated into GRID Bet, the company’s regulated esports betting solution.
According to a release, the assets acquired include live data trading solutions, prediction models, and fan engagement tools developed by Bayes Esports over the last decade.
With the new technology, GRID aims to accelerate the growth of GRID Bet in addition to driving innovation across its entire portfolio.
“The acquisition of Bayes assets further accelerates GRIDs capabilities to create value for rights holders in esports and shape the next phase of esports betting in particular,” said Moritz Maurer, Founder and CEO of GRID.
Over the past five years, GRID has cemented itself as one of the largest esports data companies in the world, partnering with several tournament operators to provide its data services. In October 2024, it secured a multi-year deal with BLAST to add data from BLAST’s Counter-Strike and Dota 2 tournaments to its platform.
Founded in 2019, Bayes Esports was a prominent name in the esports data sector, collaborating with several esports and gambling stakeholders to provide data that can be used on various platforms.

Outside of its deals with tournament organisers, GRID has continued to expand its offerings, with a focus on esports betting. The launch of GRID Bet sees the company use real-time data to support betting products for operators and fans alike.
The result of using real-time data provides more accurate odds, faster settlements of bets, and better coverage of the esports market.
In addition to GRID Bet, the company launched GRID Insights in June, an AI-powered analytics product that generates a range of insights and integrates them into esports broadcasts, providing viewers with additional context in real-time.
