Riot Games has shared key details on its anticipated replay system coming to VALORANT in Patch 11.06, including features, a release date and more.

The replay system has been a highly requested feature by the community, and allows players to replay ‘a complete view’ of their recent matches in-game. However, the mode has sparked criticism regarding its inability to view custom games or VALORANT esports matches.

Replays will be coming to PC on September 16th at 9:00 AM PT (5 PM BST), but will launch in China on October 9th in Patch 11.07b. The feature will eventually come to consoles in Patch 11.10 on November 11th at 9:00 AM PT.

What Can the Replay System Do?

VALORANT’s replay system boasts several features. A user can observe a selected game from all 10 players’ perspectives, with the option to disable both enemy/ally outlines and following projectiles like Sova Recon Dart.

The replay system can be observed from first or third person, and a combat report can be opened at any time. Playback can be fast-forwarded and slowed (from 0.1x to 8x), or paused, and users can ‘time-jump’ to any point during a game.

In the FAQ’s section, Riot Games gave additional details on the system. Notbaly, it has assured fans that the system’s addition will not impact game performance.

The system is applicable for Unrated, Competitive, Swiftplay and Premier playlists. Replays will be available after a match and can be downloaded from the match details or Career page, but will only record games ‘on the current live patch’.

Riot Games has shared that it will ‘continue to listen to player feedback’, reagding the system. Currently, the Replay mode is not available on Custom Games and will continue to ‘evaluate further use cases’ with regard to implementing the system into esports.

Replay Arriving in Patch 11.06

The replay system will arrive in VALORANT in Patch 11.06, which brings a wave of bug fixes, general updates, and performance adjustments. In the post detailing the upcoming patch, Riot Games also shared that it has banned over 40,000 bots in the last six months as part of its latest banwave.
