100 Thieves has announced major rebuilding plans for its VALORANT roster ahead of the 2026 VCT season.

After failing to qualify for VALORANT Champions for a third consecutive year, the organisation has decided to re-evaluate its players and coaching staff.

“As the 2025 VALORANT Season comes to an end, 100 Thieves reflects on a season that fell short of both organisational standards and the unwavering expectations of our community and fans,” the organisation announced.

As a result, every member of the team has been allowed to explore options for the upcoming season, even if they are still contracted with 100 Thieves.

The team last attended Champions in 2022, and after an underwhelming performance in the 2023 VCT season, 100 Thieves had a promising start in 2024 as it lifted the Americas Stage 1 trophy.

However, the organisation failed to carry that momentum through the rest of 2024 and 2025, with the latter being one of its worst-performing years.

“It was clear that we were not a sum of our individual parts this year,” said Joseph Jang, Vice President of Esports at 100 Thieves.

“This means despite having an incredible pool of talent, we will need to make difficult decisions and meaningful changes to reset our mindset and evaluate all options available going into 2026.”

Will Anybody Stay with 100 Thieves for VCT 2026?

While 100 Thieves will announce the roster for the 2026 VCT season at a later date, the team’s assistant coach Yury ‘frenya’ Elkin has confirmed that his contract is over.

However, the players are still negotiating as their contracts are valid until the end of 2026, according to the official VALORANT Champions Tour Global Database. As for head coach Anthony ‘Zikz’ Gray, his contract runs until 2027, but he is open to ‘Head Coach/GM/Esports Director positions.’

The other assistant coach, Rudi ‘rudi’ Mcken, is also looking for new opportunities, but he has not revealed details about his contract’s end date.
