Dalarnia Legends has announced its first Grand Masters Tournament, featuring a 250,000 $D token prize pool.
The competition is scheduled for October 11th and will pit 64 finalists against each other in a six-round competitive bracket. Qualification for the tournament started on August 26th.
The final roster of players will be composed of winners from preliminary tournament heats, top-ranked participants from the qualification leaderboard, as well as a select number of wild-card entrants.
The event’s structure is designed to culminate in a high-stakes final where the champion will be awarded 50% of the total prize pool. There’s no official breakdown of how the other half will be split.
Dalarnia Legends Working to Establish Web3 Esports
Organisers have positioned the Grand Masters as the flagship annual competition for the game’s community.
The format integrates traditional esports elements — such as skill-based qualifiers and a points-based leaderboard — with native Web3 features like tokenised rewards and player-owned digital assets.
The championship will be a live competitive event, even though the organisers have yet to release any details about the viewing platform or schedule
Dalarnia Legends runs on DAR Open Network, a chain-agnostic infrastructure, where its native token, the $D token, facilitates governance, staking, and in-game transactions.
Project leads believe the event is a significant milestone for the ecosystem. DAR Open Network lead Manfred Pack described the tournament series as bringing together esports competition and Web3, aimed at rewarding player skill.
The tournament’s hybrid qualification system, which rewards both consistent performance and tournament success, is intended to create a competitive field comparable to top esports championships.
