Betting company 1xBet has become the main sponsor of Argentinian esports organisation 9z Team.

According to a release, the two-year deal will see the bookmaker collaborate with the organisation to assist with the development of Counter-Strike esports in Argentina.

1xBet will offer Argentinian teams opportunities to ‘boost their visibility’ through additional resources, community engagement initiatives and content creation.

The bookmaker becomes the tenth partner of 9z Team, joining the likes of Monster Energy and Samsung on its expanding roster of partners. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

Throughout 2025, 1xBet has continued to expand its presence within the esports industry through a variety of partnerships with tournament organisers. In February, it secured a two-year deal with PGL, while June saw it join forces with BLAST as the official betting partner of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

9z Team becomes the second Argentinian esports organisation to partner with 1xBet. It follows Bestia, which signed a similar deal in September 2024, where the bookmaker offered $500,000 (~£368,882) in grassroots tournaments if the team could qualify for the elimination stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

9Z Team In 2025

In addition to its Counter-Strike team, 9Z Team competes in six esports titles, including VALORANT, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG: Mobile and Rainbow Six.

Its Counter-Strike team is currently ranked 51st in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), meaning it faces an uphill battle to qualify for November’s StarLadder Budapest Major, where the top 32 will qualify.

The team has been competing in several Tier 2 online tournaments and qualifiers. On September 1st, it qualified for the Aorus League 2025 event, which will see four teams competing for a $6,500 (~£4,797) prize pool.

Outside of regional tournaments, 9z Team has struggled to make an impact on the international stage. Its upcoming appearance at the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 will mark its first appearance at a Tier 1 event since IEM Rio 2024.
