The beta was just the tip of the iceberg. New leaks from Battlefield Labs show that developer Dice still has a lot up its sleeve.
The public beta test for Battlefield 6 ended less than a week ago, and already the next wave of leaks is hitting. Dice is apparently testing new content directly in its test program called Battlefield Labs, and it didn’t take long for this new content to reach the public.
Above all, however, the leak shows that the full version of Battlefield 6 will contain a whole bunch of other stuff that we didn’t get to see in the beta.
Everything that has been leaked
The website MP1st was the first to report on the leaks, referring to videos posted on the Chinese social media platform Bilibili. Almost 20 minutes of gameplay footage was uploaded there. The video mainly shows the menu and lots of content that wasn’t available in the beta.
Here we summarize some of the content shown:
- More weapons: The leaks show lots of new guns in every category. There are easily more than twice as many weapons to be seen here. Instead of the three assault rifles from the beta, we see about eight here.
- More gadgets: There’s also a lot to see in the gadget department. Many different grenade launchers, flamethrowers, drones, mines, stationary guns, knives, and sledgehammers.
- More skins: You’ll also be able to customize the appearance of your soldiers even more extensively in the finished game. Dozens of skins were on display, all in different colors. Most of them seem pretty down-to-earth. There are also tons of skins for weapons, some of which are a bit more exciting.
- More vehicles: You can also see more in the leaked videos in the vehicle section. Tanks, planes, helicopters, and many different skins for them can be seen.
However, since the leak comes from a test environment, you need to be careful. It is quite possible that not all of the content shown here will actually appear in the finished game. After all, these are only initial attempts.
More about the maps
The maps were a major point of contention in the beta, as some fans felt that the selected maps were too small. A few days after the beta, clues were found in the game files that suggest that much larger maps will appear in the finished game. We have linked the news about this in the box above.
Now there are also some more map layouts on X. So it’s pretty clear that we can expect a lot more content when Battlefield 6 is released in October and that the beta was really just a tiny taste of what’s to come. In any case, it was enough to spark a lot of interest, as evidenced by the huge number of players. Let’s see if the interest remains this high until the release.
