Publisher Arc Games and Phoenix Point developer Snapshot Games today revealed a late August release date for their action-strategy title Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids.
The game launches with a Friend’s Pass that allows owners to bring a buddy along for the ride at no additional cost and experience both online co-op as well as PvP multiplayer together. Furthermore, crossplay support is also confirmed, so PC and console users can team up and compete against each other without barriers.
Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids Release Date
“We’re thrilled to reveal that Chip ‘n Clawz will be launching pretty soon and that we’re able to include a Friend’s Pass at launch,” said Julian Gollop, CEO of Snapshot Games.
“With Chip ‘n Clawz, we designed it to be a true cooperative multiplayer action RTS adventure as we wanted to make a pickup and play strategy game that could be easily enjoyed with friends, loved ones and fellow strategy fans online and offline on any platform.”
Revealed earlier this year, Snapshot Games’ latest effort is a departure from its previous output, blending third-person action and real-time strategy elements.
Donning a colorful, more welcoming aesthetic, it nonetheless retains the core elements that make up a great RTS, including base building, resource generation, as well as army management.
While timely orders and tactics play a key role in attaining victory, the game’s protagonist duo can also apply a healthy dose of brute force to solve problems, entering the fray and slashing enemies to bits or blasting them from afar with ranged weaponry.
Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids has locked in its release date to August 26, 2025, when it arrives on PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Priced at £24.99 or your regional equivalent, the game will benefit from a 10% discount on all platforms during its launch week. If you have a buddy ready to help you blast foes to bits, you can learn more about its Friend’s Pass here.
