Rainbow Six Siege X Seasonal Series Format Explained

The Seasonal Series is the first time players can compete regardless of platform, providing greater opportunities for those looking to compete.

Split into three phases, the Seasonal Series begins with the Open Phase, where teams compete in matches based on their in-game performance. During this phase of the competition, teams earn points, with the top eight from the leaderboard earning a place in the Contenders League.

The Contenders League takes place across two weekends using a round-robin format. The top six Contenders earn a place at the Contenders Finals, where they compete for overall victory and the lion’s share of the prize pool. The two eliminated teams move on to the Promise Division Finals.

Teams that didn’t qualify for the Contenders League still have a chance to compete. The Promise Division features two weekends of action with the top two qualifying for the Promise Division Finals.

Four Promise Division teams will join the eliminated teams from the Contenders Division to form the Promise Division Finals. The Promise Division Finals sees teams competing for in-game R6 Credits.

Once the inaugural edition has concluded, the Seasonal Series will return for Autumn and Winter editions, providing players with opportunities to compete throughout the year.

The prize pool varies depending on the region; however, winning the Contenders Finals in EU/MENA will award the team €2250 overall. This includes €450 per player and 7200 in-game currency.

Rainbow Six In 2025

Ubisoft has continued to support grassroots esports with a range of initiatives encouraging its player base to participate in events. In July, it revealed the return of the Siege Cup, an in-game event open to five regions.

Elsewhere, it launched a dedicated competition hub for Tier 2 and 3 scenes, continuing to build the title’s ecosystem outside of its professional circuit.
