A pair of classic strategy games and their expansions are a great way to weather the remainder of this year’s summer heat, and if you’re looking to hunker down inside, the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection currently has its price heavily discounted until next week.
That’s thanks to publisher Electronic Arts’ 2025 August Sale, which also brings down the prices of many other titles in its catalogue by varying percentages.
Command and Conquer Remastered Collection August Sale 2025 Discounted Price
Until next Monday, August 11, you can grab the Command and Conquer Remastered Collection for as little as $4,99/€4,99 on both Steam and the EA App.
For those who favor percentages, that’s a rather significant 75% discount. Although this isn’t the cheapest the collection has been – in late 2024, the price went down to as little as $1,99/€1,99 –, the current offer remains a steal, especially when taking into account the fact that it provides access to two excellent remasters that make up an important part of RTS history.
As mentioned above, the Command and Conquer Remastered Collection includes both Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn – which chronicles the first part of the Tiberium Saga, pitting GDI and NOD forces against each other while introducing the now-iconic character of Kane – as well as the original Red Alert with its slightly more familiar alternate take on history, in which Allied Forces battle the Soviets.
Although it’s been five years since this collection was released, the arrival of multiple entries in the dormant series on Steam earlier this year, alongside comments made by Lead Producer Jim Vessella, sparked hope that another remastered collection – possibly including Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 – might be coming our way.
So far, Electronic Arts hasn’t shared anything official on this front, but a private community event hosted by the publisher a few months ago was reportedly themed around those two very games, so perhaps something might be ramping up behind the scenes.
As someone who sank countless hours into Tiberian Sun’s original version, seeing it and Red Alert 2 get the same remaster treatment as their predecessors would be a dream come true, and I’m sure many other strategy enthusiasts feel the same.
In the meantime, grabbing the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection for cheap or replaying it remains a good way to scratch that itch for retro RTS goodness.
