Daily fantasy sports provider PrizePicks has just announced that it has made a major breakthrough in regulations, as they are now available in both Puerto Rico and Maine.
This solidifies its space in the industry with its U.S. footprint, which brought its total jurisdictions to 47, and it also puts them in the company of their own by being the one and only daily fantasy sports operator to have a gaming license in Puerto Rico.
Players have the opportunity to now access the Arena in Maine, while Puerto Rico is set to go live in a little while longer in the months to come.
PrizePicks Expansion and Recognition
According to Adam Packer, Senior Vice President of Legal & Compliance at PrizePicks, the licensing accomplishment in Puerto Rico is especially noteworthy in the fantasy sports industry: “We’re grateful to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the Maine Gambling Control Unit for their partnership and support throughout the licensure process.
“We’ve seen tremendous engagement with Arena across the country, and we’re confident that momentum will carry into these new jurisdictions.”
PrizePicks continues to place a high priority on player safety and integrity in its products while expanding.
The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) formally granted the operator iCAP accreditation in 2025, making it the first and only fantasy sports platform to be recognised at this high level for its Responsible Gaming efforts.
As PrizePicks expands across the country, this shows a continued dedication to safe play standards.
With operations currently covering almost the whole United States, PrizePicks is in a good position to responsibly expand its daily fantasy sports competitions into new markets.
Players in Maine can start participating right away, and those in Puerto Rico will soon have their first taste of PrizePicks.
