European esports organisation OG Esports has parted ways with Polish Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Maciej ‘F1KU’ Miklas.
The player leaves the organisation after over three years as a member of the starting line-up.
F1KU joined in May 2022 after a three-year stint representing Polish organisation AGO Esports. During his time competing under the OG Esports banner, the anchor played at three Majors, along with scoring a top-four finish at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
The player leaves OG Esports with an impressive track record. F1KU competed in a total of 586 maps, scoring 9,001 eliminations across his 1,161-day tenure as a member of the organisation.
“Reflecting on my journey, I am filled with gratitute doe the unforgettable moments we shared,” said F1KU on social media.
“I always remained committed to being a supportive teammate and giving my all to help the team in the anchor roles I played throughout my time at OG. It [did] not always work, but I did everything so the team could win.”
Following his departure from OG Esports, F1KU has expressed his desire to continue competing with a new team.
The roster change follows a period of disappointing results for OG Esports. After a top-24 placement at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the team failed to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 22.
What Next For OG Esports CS2?
Aside from searching for a new permanent addition to the roster, OG Esports has a quick turnaround before it returns to action.
The team is one of 32 that is competing in BLAST Bounty Season 2, after replacing TYLOO for the online phase of the tournament. The top eight teams from the online phase will earn a place at the LAN finals, taking place in Malta from August 14th to 17th, 2025.
