RoboCop: Rogue City was one of the biggest AA surprises of 2023 in our humble opinion. Part FPS, part semi-open-world RPG, it felt both old-fashioned and daring in its approach to bringing RoboCop to life in a modern video game.
It’s the rare sort of replayable but tight adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome. The shooting is crunchy, the graphics are delightfully rendered through excellent use of UE5, and the voice acting and sound design come straight from the ’80s in the best possible way. Hell, they even got Peter Weller to reprise his iconic role!

Following the success of Teyon and Nacon’s first RoboCop video game in late 2023 thanks to its well-calculated mix of first-person shooter action, contained open-world exploration, and light RPG elements, the developer and the publisher have surprised players this year with a separate, slightly shorter adventure which takes RoboCop to OCP’s OmniTower, a location which will surely remind sci-fi action aficionados of Dredd (2012).
Unfinished Business, despite borrowing every core system and mechanic from the original Rogue City, doesn’t feature open environments and instead focuses on a far more linear (but sometimes wide-ish) experience that puts massive shootouts front and center. It’s leaner and meaner, and players should know that going in; don’t expect another expansive, genre-bending RoboCop adventure. Its recommended price tag reflects this.
