Somewhat surprisingly, Ubisoft has unveiled a summer roadmap in a new video, logically announcing lots of new content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The roadmap covers July to September and includes some really exciting new features that many fans have been eagerly awaiting since the game’s release. You can find out about the biggest highlights by watching the trailer above. But we’ve also summarized the most important points here in text form:
New Game Plus
Shadows is finally getting a New Game Plus. After completing the main story, you can simply start over from the beginning without losing any items, skills, or even your hiding progress. However, you should be prepared for significantly tougher enemies. To ensure that you continue to enjoy leveling up, the level cap has been raised. You can then level up Naoe and Yasuke to level 80 and gain new abilities. New Game Plus is scheduled for July 29.
Quality of Life
Many quality-of-life features are expected with another update at the beginning of September. Among them is a feature that is sure to cause a storm of cheers. Finally, you can advance the time of day at the push of a button and no longer have to wait forever for the sun to set before infiltrating a castle. In addition, the entire fog of war will be lifted as soon as you have climbed all the vantage points in a region.
New DLC
Finally, on September 16, the first major DLC for AC Shadows will be released. It’s called Claws of Awaji and brings a new region with a new story and new equipment to the game. Get ready, because the quest won’t become active until after the main quest is complete.
So that’s what you can expect between now and September 16. But there’s sure to be more Shadows to come after that. We’ll keep you posted.
