StarLadder has announced a partnership with Esports Charts for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 event. As a result of the deal, the esports data platform will become the official analytics partner of the second Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Major of 2025.
As the analytics partner of the tournament, Esports Charts will provide real-time data throughout, along with a variety of insights powered by the information collected during each stage.
According to a release, the data collected ‘will empower organisers, teams, sponsors and fans with unparalleled transparency and a deeper understanding of the tournament’s global reach.’
“We’ve been working with Esports Charts since their founding and have always valued their professionalism and integrity,” said Viacheslav Scherbakov, Senior Sales and Operations Manager at StarLadder.
“We’re confident that this partnership will result in high-quality of our tournament’s performance and the audience data we’ll report to our partners.”
Esports Charts and StarLadder are no strangers to collaborating. In 2019, the two parties joined forces to provide reports on events run by the tournament organiser in addition to supplying data for analytical purposes.
The data platform is the first partner of the Budapest Major, taking place from November 24th to December 14th. The top 32 Counter-Strike teams will compete for a share of $1.25m (~£923,958) in prize money and a chance to be crowned Major champion.
StarLadder Growth In 2025
StarLadder has experienced impressive growth during the first half of 2025. In addition to being selected by Valve to host the Budapest Major, the organiser has partnered with Oddin.gg and reintroduced its StarSeries tournament circuit running throughout the year.
Since unveiling the Budapest Major, the event has undergone significant format changes courtesy of Counter-Strike’s developer and publisher Valve.
Instead of StarLadder hosting Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQs), the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) will be the sole determining factor when deciding the teams competing in the first-person shooter title’s biggest event.
