The realistic tactical shooter is changing some content for the console release, and fans are not happy about it.
At the end of June, developer Void Interactive announced that it would be making some changes to Ready or Not for the console launch. A patch toned down explicit depictions of violence and nudity so that the game could also be released on PlayStation and Xbox.
There is a lot of protest in the community, with many talking about censorship. The corresponding patch went live recently and was followed by a countermeasure from the players just a moment later.
Mod revises update for Ready or Not
On July 15, 2025, the update Los Sueños Stories. It not only includes four new weapons, two new missions, and a new difficulty level system, but also the announced display changes.
Shortly after the patch, user eman734 on Nexusmods a mod that reverses all changes and returns the depiction of violence and nudity to the state it was in before Los Sueños Stories.
The Mod Uncensored or Not has been downloaded over 12,000 times since its release. However, compared to the 10 million sales of Ready or Not on Steam, however, this number is quite low.
Should Void Interactive decide to remove the mod from circulation, eman734 says he will comply, but the modder is reportedly in contact with the studio and there are no intentions to ban the mod.
