When Teamfight Tactics players log in later this month, they will find themselves thrown into the middle of a wild anime showdown.

K.O. Coliseum, the game’s 15th set, arrives on July 30th, turning every match into an over-the-top brawl straight from a fighting anime episode.

With Patch 15.1, TFT invites players into a vibrant anime-style fighting tournament where they can build dream teams to battle it out for supremacy. While not much is known about Set 15, Riot Games has shared a vibrant key art which gives players some hints of what to expect from K.O. Coliseum.

Starting tomorrow, the Cyber City Tactician’s Crown esports tournament will set the stage for K.O. Coliseum’s big debut.

Over three days, 40 elite players will clash for the Cyber City Champions title while fans get a front-row seat to the new set’s first reveal. Featuring the premiere of the K.O. Coliseum cinematic, a special Pro Circuit intro video, and closing with a dev drop video offering a behind-the-scenes peek at what’s coming, Cyber City Tactician’s Crown will offer more insights on K.O. Coliseum.

To wrap it up, a global showmatch will show a first taste of the anime tournament spirit that’s about to shake up TFT.

Teamfight Tactics Set 15, Possible Traits, Champions and Mechanics

While Riot has yet to reveal the majority of information on TFT Set 15, fans are already trading theories about what will power this set.

Many believe the Chosen mechanic might return to give one champion the feel of a true anime protagonist through powerful level-ups. Moreover, traits or origins focusing on the power of friendship or reaching over 9000 power could become interesting nods to anime culture. Of course, it is also expected for some mecha champions to be featured as nods to Gundam and Evangelion.

The first art for K.O. Coliseum teases a bright-coloured version of El Rayo Volibear, Star Guardian Seraphine, Dragon Fist Lee Sin, Battle Academia Ezreal, Soul Fighter Gwen and Mecha Rengar—and with this line-up some traits seems almost guaranteed.

A magical girl group could link Seraphine to other Star Guardians like Jinx or Syndra, though it would be truly magical to see Urgot as a five-star unit. A Battle Academia-based trait might call in Ezreal together with Lux, Jayce or Katarina.

Soul Fighter Gwen naturally fits a tournament arc theme that nods to classic battle anime, with stats that get stronger the tougher her opponents are. Dragon Fist Lee Sin channels every martial arts anime hero, so a trait built around brawlers or hand-to-hand fighters seems likely.

It would also be fun to see Riot lean into more anime nods and easter eggs by saving some wild cards for a Stand User style trait. Champions like Annie, Yorick or Heimerdinger could summon powerful Stands that fight alongside or for them. Or maybe even just a Survey Corp trait for carry who have to equip giant slayers.

There’s plenty of room for clever new augments too, like one that powers up your Little Legend after every loss round, or a Protagonist Power-Up that triggers clutch win streaks when you’re on the ropes. Fans only have to wait a few couple of days more to see possibly Teamfight Tactics’ flashiest, punchiest set yet.
