GamerLegion has signed Jeremy ‘Kursy’ Gast to complete its Counter-Strike 2 roster for the second half of 2025.

The French AWPer will replace Henrich ‘sl3nd’ Hevesi, who now moves to the German esports organisation’s inactive roster.

Kursy joins GamerLegion after a year-long stint competing for GenOne, a French organisation owned by Counter-Strike commentator Sebastien ‘KRL’ Perez.

During his career, Kursy competed alongside some notable names in French Counter-Strike, including Richard ‘shox’ Papillon and Edouard ‘SmithZz’ Dubordeaux.

“After a lot of consideration, we’re excited to have Jeremy take on the AWP role and join the GL family,” said GamerLegion in an X post. “He’s shown serious promise and true potential, so we can’t wait for all of you to see him in action soon!”

Currently ranked 11th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), GamerLegion dropped outside of the top ten after failing to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Despite this, the team has demonstrated signs of potential in several international events, with top-six placements at IEM Melbourne and IEM Dallas, respectively.

What’s Next For GamerLegion in CS2?

Kursy will make his GamerLegion debut at FISSURE Playground 1, taking place from July 15th to 20th at the Sava Center in Belgrade, Serbia. The event is the first LAN tournament to take place following the conclusion of the Austin Major and features several rosters which have made changes to their starting lineup.

The 16 teams in attendance will compete for VRS points along with a share of a $450,000 (~£331,203) prize pool — and an opportunity to see if their roster changes have resulted in a positive impact on performance.

In addition to GamerLegion, the likes of Wildcard and HEROIC will be fielding new teams in a bid to secure a place in the VRS’s top 32 teams for the StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
