M80 announces Reck’s departure from CS2 roster

M80 has announced it has moved Ethan ‘reck’ Serrano to the bench of its Counter-Strike 2 team, bringing a two-year tenure on the starting lineup to an end.

Reck joined the North American organisation back in July 2023.

During his time as part of M80, Reck has achieved plenty of success in regional tournaments. In 2025, the team achieved victory at the Ace North American Masters Spring event. In late 2024, M80 defeated NRG in Season 48 of the ESL Challenger League, cementing the team as one of the strongest North American sides.

Prior to joining M80 in July 2023, Reck competed for the South African organisation ATK in May, before it disbanded two months later. His last tournament for M80 was the BLAST.tv Austin Major, where the team scored a top 22 placement after failing to advance from Stage 2.

M80 becomes the latest North American organisation to make changes following a disappointing showing at the Austin Major. In addition to the organisation, Wildcard has also revamped its roster, signing Sebastian ‘fr3nd’ Kuśmierz and Jaxo ‘Peeping’ Cornwell for the second half of 2025.

Currently ranked 47th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the organisation is searching for a replacement for Reck, who is set to remain on the bench.

A Dust2.us report reveals former NRG player Jadan ‘HexT’ Postma will be taking Reck’s place on the M80 starting lineup. The team is set to debut at Fragadelphia 19, taking place on July 17th, 2025. Participating teams will compete for a share of $35,000 (~£25,671) in prize money.

M80 sits just outside of the top 32 teams in the VRS, meaning a strong second half to the year could see the North American side earn a place at the StarLadder Budapest Major in November. In July, Valve unveiled the regional invite allocation for the event, with the Americas earning an additional Stage 1 slot and two slots for Stages 2 and 3.
