British AD Carry, Isabella ‘Izzeeri’, took down women’s League of Legends esports veterans on day two of the Equal Esports Cup (EEC) Group Stage.

Her team, Supernova Comets, defeated Nexus Reapers’ veterans of Agnė ‘Karina’ Ivaškevičiūtė and Alena ‘TIFA’ Maurer.

Elsewhere, other British talent struggle once again to find their footing at EEC this year.

Supernova Comets defeat Nexus Reapers

Izzeeri and Supernova Comets came into the match as the underdogs, as Nexus Reapers fielded a strong veteran roster.

Featuring former G2 Hel and Vitality Rising Bees headliners, Agnė ‘Karina’ Ivaškevičiūtė and Alena ‘TIFA’ Maurer.

Alongside Lily ‘GWolfieG’ Kraft, Sabrina ‘Ghidi’ Ghidini, and Elianne ‘Dunneboshond’ Haas, who were all veterans in their own right.

Not to be outdone, Supernova Comets had some experience of their own, with Lexa ‘Lexa’ Grellier and Nova ‘Sea’ Jenčáková.

However, for most of the Supernova Comets roster, including Izzeeri, this EEC is their debut tournament.

The first game saw both teams go even throughout the early and mid stages of the game.

Nexus Reapers had the slight gold lead, but Supernova Comets were able to secure most of the crucial objectives to maintain control.

Supernova Comets looked to be in trouble after being aced in the late game when death timers reach as high as 40 seconds.

However, TIFA was unable to close out the game, and Supernova Comets were able to eventually close out the game after securing the Baron.

The second game was slower, with the only piece of action being an early gank in the botlane to give Izzeeri the advantage.

The action would soon ramp up as the teams were even for the first 25 minutes of the game.

Nexus Reapers were the first to take the lead and soon ran away with the game.

Knocking on the door of Supernova Comets’ base, the game looked to be over.

However, Supernova Comets found the picks they needed to take back control of the game.

Showing the veterans how it’s done, the team defied the odds to take the game and series.

British players fall short at Equal Esports Cup

Other British players at EEC were less fortunate as they struggled against their opponents.

British stars on WLG Female Stars fell short as the newly formed roster was overwhelmed by Vitality Rising Bees.

AD Carry player Scarlett ‘Naddy’ Bettison with her team, Last Minute Airlines, lost to Galions Pearl.

While Evie ‘Pivotless’ Pullen was able to draw in her match against SK Gaming Avarosa.

With the tournament reaching the halfway mark today, the Brits will be looking to secure wins to stay in the tournament.

Day 2 of Equal Esports Cup

Elsewhere in the EEC, G2 Hel were able to build upon their win from yesterday to win yet another series.

Joining them as the only other undefeated team are Galions Pearl.

Meanwhile, Zerance Bloom ties in second place in their group with Vitality Rising Bees.

Making Group A highly contested at the top between them and first-place G2 Hel.

Group B saw multiple teams tie for second place in the group with a 2-2 game record.

Nexus Reapers, Solary Academy, and Supernova Comets are all currently at risk of dropping below the placement needed to proceed.

Every match is becoming increasingly important as EEC continues today from 5pm BST.
