Valve has released Counter-Strike 2 souvenirs and the Champions Sticker Capsule following the conclusion of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Austin Major champions Team Vitality have received a signature sticker capsule, containing signatures from its players.
Team Vitality’s victory over The MongolZ in the Grand Final marks the second time the trio of Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, and Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut have featured in a Champions Sticker Capsule. Ropz won the Antwerp Major in 2022, while Apex and ZywOo achieved victory at the Paris Major in 2023.
Alongside the sticker capsule, the developer and publisher of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) has released a range of souvenir packages containing a range of in-game skins. In addition to the skins, the packages also include highlights and lowlights from the tournament.
Valve has released sticker capsules for the winning team of the Major since the 2021 Stockholm Major. Notably, Team Vitality is the second organisation to have two Champions Sticker Capsules, joining NAVI, which earned capsules for its success at the 2021 Stockholm Major and the 2024 Copenhagen Major.
The souvenir packages and sticker capsules arrived as part of CS2’s July 2nd update, which contains bug fixes along with adding voice communications during the pick and ban phase of Premier matches.
What’s Next For Counter-Strike?
Following the Austin Major, several teams are taking a break before the second half of the 2025 season begins. For others, attention is turning to the FISSURE Playground #1 event, where 16 teams will compete for valuable VRS points and a share of a $1m (~£731,892) prize pool.
For the likes of Team Vitality, the focus is on IEM Cologne, which will be the final tournament before ESL FACEIT Group implements a third-place match in tournaments that form part of the ESL Pro Tour circuit.
