EWC 2025 Valorant talent announced: Iain Chambers to Stage Host

EWC has announced its talent lineup for its EWC Valorant tournament, set to start on July 7th. The group includes Britain’s Iain Chambers as Stage Host, and BigTime and Tombizz commentating alongside his long-term collaborator, Ireland’s MitchMan.

EWC 2025’s Valorant tournament prize pool totals $1,250,000, making it the fourth biggest prize pool in Valorant history, only behind the last three iterations of the Valorant World Championships (VCT Champions).

Iain Chambers returns to Stage Hosting

Iain Chambers has worked in various roles across several esports, including Rocket League casting/analysis as well as hosting Valorant, Rainbow 6 Siege, and even Minecraft tournaments. Chambers also served a hosting role at Counter-Strike’s IEM Katowice this year, bantering with fans during breaks and between games.

Despite previous experience, EWC is Chambers’ biggest tournament to date in the strategic shooter, but with Katowice’s Spodek Arena and Rio’s Carioca Arena already in the bag this year, the Brit is sure to be match-fit for Riyadh.

Mainstays and new faces at EWC Valorant 2025

Despite the huge prize pool, the English broadcast has a more stripped-down cast of talent in comparison to the recent Toronto Masters. Multiple Valorant mainstays, such as Britain’s Yinsu ‘Yinsu’ Collins, Lauren ‘Pansy’ Scott, or Michael ‘Hypoc’ Robins, are notably absent from the talent lineup.

EWC is mixing its mainstays while elevating some previously regionalised talent, which provides an exciting opportunity for those who are not usually present at this level.

Amongst the mainstays are Britain’s Tom ‘Tombizz’ Bissmire and Ireland’s Mitch ‘MitchMan’ McBride. The pair have been omnipresent at EMEA male and female events this year, and are adding another event to their long line of top-tier events.

On the other hand, Morgan ‘BigTime’ Jay has hit the big-time at EWC. The former Global Esports Assistant Coach is debuting at an international LAN, casting the Pacific region at tier one previously.

EWC 2025 is the first Valorant tier one event held as part of the Esports World Cup, with EWC 2024 only featuring small “side tournaments.”

The event features stacked groups of Valorant’s global tier one talent, including the so-called Group of Death, which sees Fnatic, Gen.G, EDward Gaming, and 100 Thieves pitted together in Group D.
