Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has announced that Tim ‘susp‘ Ångström will act as a stand-in for the upcoming PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 Counter-Strike 2 event.
Susp will replace Marco ‘Snappi‘ Pfeiffer, who will miss the event following “a new addition to the family”.
Announced on social media, NiP didn’t disclose which player would take up the role of in-game leader, with Snappi unable to compete.
Before receiving an invite for PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, the team planned to participate in the Birch Cup, but withdrew from the event, which took place from September 27th to 28th, 2025.
Susp hasn’t featured in any Counter-Strike 2 tournaments since being placed on Wildcard‘s transfer list in July. The Swedish rifler’s last event was BLAST Rivals Spring, which took place in May.
“Since leaving Wildcard’s active roster in July, I’ve taken some time away from competitive play,” revealed Susp in an X post.
“Now it’s finally time to get back into action and devote my full attention to my career and the game I love more than anything. I’m hungry, sharp and motivated as ever, and can’t wait to see you on the server.”
Alongside announcing his return to competition, Susp also revealed he is seeking a permanent team in 2026 as he looks to re-establish himself within the Tier 1 scene.
Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2025
Currently ranked 24th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Ninjas in Pyjamas is on the verge of dropping out of the top 32 and missing out on qualification for November’s StarLadder Budapest Major.
The Swedish organisation heads into PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 after consecutive second-place finishes at the last two LAN events it competed in. In September, it finished runner-up to NAVI at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025.
A strong performance at PGL Masters Bucharest should cement Ninjas in Pyjamas’ place at the Major. Invites to the second Major of 2025 will be distributed at the beginning of October.
