In between the resurrection of a beloved dormant real-time strategy series, playable Adeptus Mechanicus, and a return to proper base building elements, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4’s announcement included a lot of what fans wanted to hear. Now, a fresh in-game trailer takes us closer to the action and it certainly looks like Kronus will see there plenty of it.
Revealed during 2025’s PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, Dawn of War 4’s in-game trailer includes all four factions, alternating between shots from an isometric perspective – with the full UI in view – and close-ups that give us a better look at the various unit models as well as the different ways in which they engage each other.

The trailer is set across two biomes, so we’ll get to spill blood and whatever the AdMech/Necrons run on both in mountainous and snowy environments, as infantry, vehicles, and bulky walkers clash.
Jetpack-equipped units are the closest our troops will get to flying when Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV launches, but Soulstorm’s roster additions were far from the most loved in the series, so perhaps that’s for the best.
Aside from giving us a glimpse at how the game’s combat director allows for a much higher number of sync kill animations, it also highlights the attention to detail the developer has given to how buildings are constructed.
While the Space Marines bring their structures in from orbit – elegantly if a bit too suddenly –, the Orks also drop theirs from the sky, only in a considerably more brutal fashion that fits their simple, straightforward nature.
The Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus also join the carnage, although one could argue that Warhammer’s best metallic boys could have been given a bit more screentime to introduce the other factions to their deadly energy beams.
