Warframe developer Digital Extremes has revealed its newest addition to the Warframe roster, along with confirmation that several new Protoframes will be joining the game later this year.
Nokko is described as a ‘fungal trickster Warframe’, and specifically uses viral status damage. Alongside his four main abilities, he also has a passive ability that prevents him from dying – if the player can reach the location of a mushroom that they placed previously, then they’re brought back to life instantly.
Nokko will drop in the newest update, The Vallis Undermind, set to launch October 15. A bundle containing the frame, several styles, premium currency, and his weapons will be released at the same time.
Meanwhile, the latest Protoframes announced for the game are a curious bunch – there’s Protoframes for fan-favourites Harrow and Wisp, but there’s also a brand new Protoframe in the form of Uriel, the first Orokin Protoframe. Digital Extremes hasn’t announced anything other than his existence, but he’ll be released later this year alongside the next cinematic update, The Old Peace.
