Movement is one of the most important aspects of Counter-Strike 2, and the latest update to the game has addressed some pretty serious bugs that players have been experiencing in recent games.
Fixing the problems
An issue that has been prevalent in the game since the bigger update on September 17 week, pros such as Nikolo “NiKo” Kovac and Robin “ropz” Kool have both commented on the bugs.
Been happening to me on all maps, it’s a new feature 🙃

The first of the two bugs affected players’ ability to move while scoped in. When scoped, those affected by the bug would find themselves unable to move, with their WASD keys seemingly disabled.
That issue has now been addressed, as has another issue where “velocity was abnormally low while walking up ramps.”
The issue, which seemed to be less common than the scope issue, would be especially prevalent on maps where large portions of the design are focused around ramps, such as Nuke or Mirage.
This would make rushing these spots especially difficult, which is an issue considering how common Ramp rushes are on both maps. Even in slower rounds, or on maps like Inferno where a ramp is used to exit spawn, the issue would subtly affect the timings of the rounds.

Although these two issues have been fixed, the issue Falcons star NiKo was specifically commenting on seems to still be in the game, as Valve said nothing about it in the patch notes. That particular issue is perhaps the worst of all, as it affects both counter-strafing and crouch-peeking.
The bug prevents players from being able to counter-strafe properly when crouch-peeking, limiting movement speed and trapping players in fights they would typically be able to evade after taking quick shots.
With important games in the race to qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major being played all the time, players will be hoping it’s fixed as fast as possible.
