What to Expect at WorldS 2025
Heralded as one of esports’ biggest events, Worlds is an annual international tournament that crowns the best League of Legends team of the year. This season will see 17 qualified teams from across the world compete for the lion’s share of its $5m ($3.6m) prize pool.
The full list of qualified teams has yet to be decided, but will include rosters that have qualified from regional leagues such as the LEC, LTA, LCP, LPL and LCK. So far, the line-up includes well-known organisations such as the MSI champion Gen.G Esports, as well as top teams such as G2 Esports, FlyQuest and CTBC Flying Oyster, among others.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 14th to November 9th, 2025. It will feature both a Swiss Stage and a Knockout Stage, before ultimately culminating with one team lifting the Summoner’s Cup.
