A new leak reveals surprisingly advanced weapons in Battle Royale.
Battlefield 6 actually wants to be a down-to-earth military shooter. Conventional weapons, vehicles, and soldier uniforms are intended to convey a credible picture of a conflict in the present day.
However, this does not necessarily apply to Battle Royale, which, according to insider information, is set to be released as a free-to-play expansion after launch – the first leaked gameplay footage from the Battle Royale map was recently released.
It seems that futuristic military equipment is also planned!
Firepower from orbit
As the well-known and reliable data miner Temporyal announced on Twitter, BF6’s Battle Royale will feature so-called Strike Packages, which players can request (once) and use as soon as they have obtained them (presumably by completing special missions in the match or similar achievements).
In Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale, Strike Packages let you call in tools for different situations:
☄️ Kinetic Strike: prototype orbital firepower – devastating to structures, precise with minimal blast.
💥 Power Weapons: potentially a railgun or minigun, both found in the files. pic.twitter.com/umOYnN5Xpd

Temporyal highlights two elements in particular:
- Kinetic Strike: A powerful orbital strike; this prototype weapon fires a projectile from extreme heights that can reduce buildings to rubble – precise, but without a large blast radius.
- Power Weapons: Very powerful experimental guns that players can pick up and use for a limited time – these could include a minigun or even a railgun, for example.
Images of what the sci-fi weapons from BF6 apparently look like are already circulating on Reddit:
This type of sci-fi weaponry has been featured in Battlefield before, for example in the Final Stand DLC for Battlefield 4, which introduced a hover tank and a Gauss cannon.
Reassuring news for those who prefer a more grounded multiplayer experience: according to Temporyal, these gadgets will most likely be limited to BR mode.
According to the leak, other possible Strike Packs include:
- Air strike with F16 jets
- Drop of an anti-tank crate (with Javelin missile launcher)
- Artillery strike
- Redeploy unit (for respawning teammates)
- Air surveillance drone (UAV)
- Smoke bombs for an artificial smoke screen
- Dropping supply crates (ammunition)
- Dropping custom weapons (loadout drop)
This means that pre-built loadouts with your favorite weapons (and attachments) can also be called into play, as is the case in CoD Warzone, for example. However, it is still unclear exactly how the class system and class gadgets will work in Battle Royale.
