Following online qualifiers that delivered several surprise results, all eyes are now on this weekend’s BLAST Open London 2025 Playoffs.
Taking place at OVO Arena Wembley, six teams have battled through to the final stage of the LAN event and will aim to be crowned the king of Counter-Strike. With major names such as NAVI and Team Spirit falling to the wayside, can Team Vitality claim another trophy, or will a new challenger arise?
Before some of the world’s best CS2 teams take to the stage, Esports Insider checks out the upcoming matches and predicts how the BLAST Open London 2025 Playoffs will unfold.
M80 vs MOUZ
The opening quarter-final match sees PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 champions MOUZ take on M80 in a series that has the potential to spring a surprise result.
Following a top-four finish at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, MOUZ has continued to display incredible levels of consistency across Tier 1 events it has competed in.
Victories over Imperial Esports and G2 Esports in Group B locked in a BLAST Open London Playoff place, while a 2-0 defeat to FURIA secured a spot in the first quarter-final.
In Group A, M80 has restored some hope within the North American CS2 scene through an inspired run to advance to the playoffs despite contesting with the likes of FaZe Clan and Team Vitality.
A 2-1 loss to Team Vitality in the upper bracket saw the team face early elimination, but it managed to hold strong by besting Virtus.pro and stunning NAVI before sweeping aside Fnatic in the lower bracket final to earn the final playoff place from the group.
Despite BLAST Open London being M80’s first Tier 1 LAN appearance since the Austin Major, the team heads into the quarter-finals brimming with confidence that could see it give MOUZ a run for its money on the big stage.
While M80 heads into the Playoffs with a spring in its step, the consistency of MOUZ is expected to shine through as it seeks another tournament victory.

FaZe Clan vs G2 Esports
The debut of Jakub ‘jcobbb’ Pietruszweski has already yielded a Playoff place for a FaZe Clan side that has struggled to find consistency throughout 2025. Despite the Polish rifler’s lack of Tier 1 experience, FaZe showed glimpses of brilliance during its Group A campaign with victories over ECSTATIC and NAVI.
Even with a 2-1 defeat to Team Vitality in the upper bracket final, FaZe managed to force overtime in two of the three maps, marking an upward turn of form ahead of the new-look line-up’s LAN debut.
G2 Esports managed to survive a tricky Group B after falling into the lower bracket following a hotly contested 2-0 defeat to MOUZ. A comfortable 2-0 sweep of FlyQuest set up a clash with Team Spirit for the final Playoff spot, and to the surprise of many, G2 emerged victorious.
An overtime win on Dust II levelled the series before G2 unleashed a clinical attacking display to secure Ancient with a dominant 13-1 scoreline to deny the BLAST Bounty Season 2 champions another Playoff appearance.
With both teams experiencing a resurgence following recent roster changes, this particular quarter-final match has the potential to go the distance, with fine margins ultimately deciding the outcome.

Which Team Wins BLAST Open London 2025?
With MOUZ and FaZe Clan moving on to the semi-finals, the theoretical matches are as follows:
- MOUZ vs Team Vitality
- FURA vs FaZe Clan
MOUZ managed to defeat Team Vitality in Cologne and must overcome the French organisation once again if it is to make another Grand Final.
Since the Major, there have been instances where cracks are starting to form in Team Vitality’s once-inpenetrable strategy book. Despite weaknesses forming for the French team, a clash with MOUZ will likely require all three maps to decide a winner.
Whilst the German organisation won the last time the two faced, Esports Insider has Team Vitality, alongside its UK player William ‘mezii‘ Merriman, edging out a victory.

The second semi-final between FURIA and FaZe Clan has the potential to be just as close as the first. With Gabriel ‘FalleN‘ Toledo continuing to excel in all kinds of roles and Danil ‘molodoy‘ Golubenko regularly demonstrating his prowess with the AWP, the team has an excellent chance to halt the momentum of FaZe.
However, FaZe Clan has demonstrated its ability against world-class opposition with its new recruit. So, this momentum could prevent FURIA from earning a place in the Grand Final. Given the recent form of both sides, there’s a high chance the series goes down to the wire, with the Brazilian side walking into the finals.

Team Vitality vs FURIA
Based on the outcomes of the semi-finals, a Grand Final between Team Vitality and FURIA is on the cards at BLAST Open London 2025.
The most recent Major winners continue to impress, but back-to-back semi-final defeats at BLAST Bounty Season 2 and the Esports World Cup, have highlighted some of the team’s flaws. Meanwhile, the Brazilian organisation has continued to go from strength to strength in the second half of the year.
A best-of-five series between two evenly matched teams has the potential to be one of the most competitive Grand Finals of the year so far. In recent months, FURIA has skyrocketed towards the very top of the VRS and shows no signs of slowing down with FalleN at the helm. Combined with strong firepower, the team has an excellent chance of scoring a win over a Vitality side that has looked out of sorts in recent tournaments.
FURIA will have to fire on all cylinders if it looks to stop a Team Vitality side seeking another accolade to add to its already impressive collection.
