Street Fighter 6 is back up with some new fighter balances and unpopular battle pass updates.
Street Fighter 6 was down for server maintenance in the evening of September 1st and now the latest update is live. The largest content change is the addition of the Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration, which comes with EX costume colors and other exclusive items.
Monster Hunter Fighter Pass Met With Frustration From FGC
The Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration has come with a Monster Hunter Fighter Pass and new EX colors and avatar gear in the shop. The Monster Hunter Fighter Pass is not new, but it’s cheaper this time and should be easier to obtain points for each tier.

The FGC has not been too excited about the return of the Monster Hunter Fighter Pass. The fact that the pass does not include colors (and costs money) has not excited many players. Meanwhile, the pass itself has no new items.
Street Fighter 6 Fighter Changes
There have also been some balance changes to the roster, with Chun-Li, Lily and Sagat getting some rework.
Developers confirmed that Chun-Li’s attacks during Serenity Stream initial scaling won’t be applied to opponent’s conterattacks ‘due to the Serenity Stream’s intended design,’ which is to allow the player to continue in the stance or cancel out if it’s perfect parried. Now, the stance will always be canceled when the attack is perfect parried, since there was ‘no upside’ to continue the stance during disadvantage.
Lily’s Rapid Cancel Assisted Combo was experiencing an issue where the next attack (crouching light punch) would be performed even if the player ‘buffered down+light attack’ during recovery. This has been fixed.
The changes to Sagat have been seen as a bit too severe by some players. The downward attack hitbox was reduced on his Drive Impact to ‘match the lowest positioned hitbox’ of other fighters. There was also a fix to his Standing Light Punch, Crouching Light Punch, Crouching Light Kick combo, so it will no longer unintentionally perform the rapid cancel version. His Heavy Tiger Uppercut previously saw the attack startup be one frame faster when the buttons were released with ‘specific timing,’ which has since been fixed.
