FIFAe has announced a partnership with Lenovo’s Legion for the FIFAe Finals 2025, set to take place from December 10 to December 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to a release, the gaming brand will be supporting the esports competition by providing high-performance devices, including Lenovo’s Legion Tower 7i, Legion gaming monitors, mice, keyboards, and accessories.
This is part of Lenovo’s wider collaboration with FIFA, which includes supporting global sport competitions such as the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, delivering the needed technology and infrastructure to run the events.
Lenovo has been heavily expanding its presence in the esports space in recent times. Aside from the partnership with FIFA, the gaming brand has also become the official gaming hardware partner for the Esports World Cup. In previous years, the company has partnered with esports organisations such as FURIA and G2 Esports, as well as tournament organisers like ESL and the Apex Legends Global Series.
FIFAe Finals 2025 will have three different esports competitions
With the event bringing together the world’s top national teams, the FIFAe Finals will host three tournaments: Rocket League, eFootball on console, and eFootball on mobile.
The eFootball console and mobile tournaments will see the top 11 nations from regional qualifiers and the host nation compete in the group stage, with the top eight teams advancing to the knockout stage.
For Rocket League, the 16 qualified teams will first be split into two groups of eight. The top four teams from each group will then move to a single-elimination bracket to crown the champion. Details about the prize pool, however, haven’t been revealed.
In 2024, Saudi Arabia claimed the inaugural Rocket League championship, with Indonesia and Malaysia winning on eFootball console and mobile, respectively. According to Esports Charts, the console eFootball event peaked at 422,245 viewers, followed by Rocket League’s 276,319 viewers, and the mobile tournament, which recorded a peak of 77,222.
