NAVI has announced it has disbanded its Tekken 8 roster a year after expanding into the fighting game.

As a result of the decision, Kim ‘Kkokkoma’ Moo-jong and Alexandre ‘AK’ Laverez are seeking new organisations to represent in upcoming tournaments.

NAVI says it is temporarily leaving the esport following the Esports World Cup, where Kkokkoma and AK represented the Ukrainian esports organisation. KKokkoma scored a Top 12 finish in Saudi Arabia, while AK was eliminated during the event’s last chance qualifier.

During its short time in Tekken 8 esports, NAVI achieved plenty of success, with Kkokkoma winning the Emirates Showdown 2024 event and AK achieving victory at Combo Breaker 2024 and second at Red Bull Golden Letters 2024.

While the organisation’s departure from Tekken is only temporary, it didn’t indicate when it plans on returning to competition.

With NAVI departing Tekken esports, the organisation currently competes in 13 esports titles, including Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and Apex Legends. The organisation continues to compete in fighting games, fielding a player in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.

NAVI’s Year Of Expansion

2025 has seen NAVI expand into several esports titles, partly due to the organisation being part of the Esports World Cup Club Programme, a multi-million-dollar initiative designed to create stability and sustainability within the esports industry.

NAVI finished the 2025 Esports World Cup Club Championship in 32nd place with 500 points scored across the nine titles it competed in. It narrowly missed out on a share of the $27m (~£19.9) prize pool distributed among the top 24 organisations.

Over the last eight months, the organisation has expanded into CrossFire, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and chess.

Outside of titles that form the annual multi-title esports event, it purchased a slot in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) following the departure of fellow European organisation Rogue.
