VCT CN has now locked in all four of its representatives for Valorant Champions Paris 2025.
Bilibili Gaming and EDward Gaming had already confirmed their spots by climbing the VCT China points standings.
Now, it has been confirmed that Xi Lai Gaming and Dragon Ranger Gaming will join them in France.
Both XLG and Dragon qualified for VCT CN by earning promotion through Ascension tournaments.
Now, they will represent China at the biggest Valorant tournament of the year.
After defeating All Gamers, XLG advanced to the Lower Bracket Semifinal and are now tied for points with BLG and EDG.
Dragon Gaming are six points behind them, but are in the Upper Bracket Final, so they also cannot be caught.
It means Valorant Masters Toronto semifinalist Wolves Esports have surprisingly missed out on Champions qualification.
Though they only have themselves to blame after dismal 1-4 record left them at the bottom of the Stage 2 Group Stages.
Wolves will now have to wait for Valorant Masters 2026, which is coming to Shanghai.
There’s still more to play for in VCT CN as the remaining Stage 2 series will decide seeding for Champions.
The Upper Bracket Final winner between BLG and Dragon Ranger Gaming will advance to the Grand Final.
Whereas the loser will move into the Lower Bracket Final to face the winner between EDG and XLG.
The mixed form EDG and BLG heading into Valorant Champions Paris
EDG and BLG secured their places at Valorant Champions first, but both have had mixed seasons.
EDG are the reigning world champions and have the chance to become the first-ever team to win consecutive Champions titles.
Last year, they became the first Chinese organisation to win Valorant Champions after defeating Team Heretics.
However, EDG have struggled at times this year and likely won’t be tournament favourites on Valorant betting sites.
They didn’t qualify for the recent Valorant Masters Toronto international event, then had a shaky start to Stage 2.
They were knocked into the Lower Bracket of VCT CN after getting swept by Dragon Ranger, but are starting to bounce back.
BLG, on the other hand, did attend Masters Toronto as China’s second seeds by clawing through the Stage 1 Lower Bracket.
However, they were promptly eliminated in the Swiss Stage after losing to Sentinels and fellow Chinese team Wolves.
Yet, they’re playing great in Stage 2. They topped their Group then beat TYLOO to reach the Upper Bracket Semis.
