Recently, Leagues Disrupt announced that K-pop group PRIMROSE will be performing at the Stockholm League of Legends event.
The move reflects a broader movement successfully engaging League of Legends fans through the popularity of K-pop.
Leagues Disrupt invites PRIMROSE to perform in Stockholm
On August 30th, K-pop group PRIMROSE will head to Stockholm to perform for Northern European League of Legends fans.
Leagues Disrupt hosts the finals of the NLC, Northern Europe’s primary regional League of Legends ecosystem.
Qualified players and teams will be determined on August 22nd. However, Caedrel’s Los Ratones will almost certainly be favourites on League of Legends betting sites to take the title.
The team won the Leagues Disrupt Spring NLC Final and currently sits in the NLC 2025 Summer Upper Bracket Final, one game away from qualification.
Now, alongside some of Europe’s most popular League of Legends teams, the event will also host the NLC’s first official K-pop performance. The event also features an expo zone, after-party, and activations for the community.
Inviting PRIMROSE to Leagues Disrupts continues the K-pop trend in League of Legends. Event organisers and League of Legends publisher Riot Games are increasingly leveraging the popularity of K-pop to increase engagement.
For example, Riot Games launched the virtual K-pop group KD/A in 2018.
Four themed versions of League of Legends Champions, Akali, Ahri, Kai’Sa, and Evelynn, take the digital stage with the backing of I-dle vocalists. The group has become so popular that the recent success of Netflix’s “K-pop Demon Hunters” drew comparisons to the KD/A discography.
North European League of Legends hopes to continue impressive viewership
The Leagues Disrupt 2025 NLC Spring Finals in Copenhagen broke viewership records, cementing the North European region as a powerhouse for developing League of Legends talent.
Overall, the event reached 255,000 live peak concurrent viewership, with 3,000 in-person event guests. This surge in viewership for the regional league made the NLC the 5th biggest League of Legends ecosystem globally.

Leagues Disrupt Spring was also co-streamed by in-venue co-streamers, including Caedrel, one of the most popular League of Legends streamers of all time.
Now, Leagues Disrupt hopes to continue raising the event’s profile with its fruitful offerings for both attendees and online viewers. Their Stockholm venue for August 30th boasts an increase in capacity from 3,000 to 5,000, hopefully continuing the NLC’s rise in global popularity.
Their end goal is to bring together competitive gaming, entertainment, and community in a fusion to fuel passion for esports.
With support from PRIMROSE and the promise of community-oriented thrills, Leagues Disrupt looks to be on track in achieving its aims.
