Data platform Streams Charts has revealed that Echo Esports, Team Liquid and BLAST Premier were amongst the top 10 most-watched Twitch channels last weekend.

The results cover streams from August 15th to 17th, 2025, with various esports events taking place that allowed these channels to surge in popularity.

According to Streams Charts, Echo Esports ranked third highest, with over 977,000 hours watched across 71 hours of stream time. BLAST Premier was the fourth highest at roughly 959,000 hours watched across just 17 hours of streaming. Finally, Team Liquid managed to climb its way to tenth place, attracting 610,000 hours watched after streaming for just over 71 hours.

The esports organisations were able to stand shoulder to shoulder with popular streamer personalities such as Nicholas ‘Jynxzi’ Stewart and Jason ‘JasonTheWeen’ Thanh Nguyen, alongside global brands such as Pokémon.

Some esports personalities have also made the top ten most watched channels over the weekend. This includes Arthur ‘Maximum’ Maxwell Smith, whose guild joined Team Liquid back in January 2022 to become the Liquid Guild. He ranked fifth overall, with 955,000 hours watched across 43 hours of streaming.

Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, owner of League of Legends team Los Ratones, was the second most-watched streamer that weekend. He accumulated 1.03m of watch time across 28 hours of streaming.

The Reason Behind the Popularity

From August 15th to 17th, Echo Esports was competing in the Manaforge Omega: Race to World First, Blizzard Entertainment’s 20-player raid for World of Warcraft and The War Within expansion.

Fans would tune in to the streams to monitor the team’s progress to find out which team was on track to complete the raid first.

This is also the reason why Team Liquid saw high watch times over the weekend, as it also raced against Echo Esports and other organisations to complete the raids first.

The novelty and difficulty of these raids mean that races often take days, sometimes weeks, to complete. As of writing, the Manaforge Omega race is still ongoing as teams reach 75% completion at the Nexus-King Salhadaar encounter.

BLAST Premier was popular over the weekend as it broadcast the BLAST Premier Bounty 2025 Season 2 playoffs, from the quarterfinals on August 15th to Team Spirit’s victory at the Grand Finals on August 17th.
