The Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2025 event is heading to Katowice, Poland, for its season-ending event in the Call of Duty: Mobile esports calendar.
Taking place from November 7th to 9th, 16 teams from across the world will compete for a share of an $850,000 (~£626,850) prize pool.
The event is the first time that a Stage 5 event for Call of Duty Mobile esports has taken place in Europe. The 2024 World Championship took place in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of DreamHack Atlanta, with Elevate taking home the title.
Participating teams at the event have yet to be decided, with North America, Europe, LATAM, India, Japan, and Africa hosting regional finals and qualifiers to see which teams earn a place at the mobile shooter title’s biggest event of the year.
Launched in October 2019, Call of Duty Mobile has cemented its place as one of the most popular mobile games in the world. According to Activeplayer.io, the title attracts approximately 30m daily active users.
The city of Katowice is also no stranger to hosting esports events for the biggest first-person shooter franchises. For several years, the Spodek Arena has hosted the prestigious Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice event for Counter-Strike 2.
Next year, the arena will host the ESL Pro League Season 24 Finals, marking the first time the playoffs have taken place inside an arena. The arrival of Pro League follows ESL FACEIT Group’s decision to move IEM to Kraków.
COD: Mobile Esports In 2025
Although tens of millions play and participate in competitive Call of Duty Mobile matches, the title has struggled to reach the heights achieved by the franchise’s annual release and Call of Duty: Warzone.
The most-watched Call of Duty Mobile esports event of the year is the Call of Duty Mobile Major 2025, a Chinese tournament operated by Tencent. While the event doesn’t finish until September 14th, it has hit a viewership peak of 9,437 according to Esports Charts. It is important to note, however, that Esports Charts doesn’t include Chinese viewership.
