Team Liquid has announced tech company Hypersolid as an official partner for theEA FC Pro 25 World Championship, taking place at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh.
The brand is being displayed on the team’s jersey during the competition alongside its other sponsor IMC Trading, which also supported Team Liquid’s Chess team. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Hypersolid is a digital innovation firm that had previously worked with Team Gullit, supporting the team in player development. The EA FC team was acquired by Team Liquid earlier this year to take part in the FC Pro Championship and continued to operate with its existing commercial partners, which include Philips OneBlade.
Team Liquid is currently competing at the EA FC Pro 25 World Championship with four Dutch players: Manuel ‘ManuBachoore‘ Bachoore, Chris ‘ChrisdeBoer‘ Boer, Emre ‘EmreYilmaz‘ Yilmaz, and Levi ‘Levi de Weerd‘ de Weerd.
As of today, ManuBachoore and EmreYilmaz are qualified for the Knockout stage of the tournament, guaranteeing them a spot in the top 16. According to this year’s EWC rulebook, teams are required to be under the same name to be eligible for EWC Club Championship points, therefore explaining Team Liquid’s strategic decision to bring in Team Gullit.
Team Liquid Bolsters Portfolio
With the Hypersolid partnership, Team Liquid currently has a total of 11 brands in its portfolio. Other sponsors include Alienware, Coinbase, Monster Energy, SAP, and VISA, among others.
The esports organisation took headlines earlier in May when Honda terminated the multi-million-dollar sponsorship deal after one of TL’s esports players was caught in a controversy on social media. Nonetheless, the organisation was able to strengthen its portfolio, locking in a collaboration with Blacklyte, co-developing a custom gaming chair and desk.
