The YaLLa Compass esports tournament circuit appears to have ceased operations following a cryptic social media post from the organiser.

On August 6th, 2025, the Dubai-based esports company revealed that its Counter-Strike 2 ‘journey has come to an end.’

Moreover, according to a HLTV report, YaLLa Esports has filed for bankruptcy, despite claims from players and talent revealing it owes them money from previous events.

In July 2024, the company announced plans to host two LAN events in the Middle East this year, with a total prize pool of $1.5m (~£1.1m) up for grabs for teams competing.

Founded in 2016, YaLLa Esports has hosted a solitary LAN event in 2024. The YaLLa Compass 2024 event saw 12 teams head to Dubai’s Space 42 Arena to compete for a $400,000 (~£300,379) prize pool. The event was won by The MongolZ.

2025 saw the company move its YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 event from LAN to online due to conflicts with the BLAST.tv Austin Major MRQ. Alongside the decision to switch to an online format, the prize pool was halved from $600,000 (~£450,564) to $300,000 (~£225,281).

“Dear YaLLa Compass, please pay your staff, production, casters and team prize money. You are a disgrace to the industry,” said esports caster Pavlos ‘ExWarrior’ Georgiu on social media.

What Next For YaLLa Esports?

With YaLLa Esports seemingly ceasing operations, the future of the company is certainly in doubt.

The post confirming the end of the YaLLa Compass journey did not mention YaLLa Compass UAE, the second CS2 LAN event that was set to take place from November 19th to 23rd at the company’s headquarters.

Although no announcement surrounding November’s event has appeared, the company’s website has shut down, suggesting the event will not take place.

Esports Insider has reached out to YaLLa Esports for comment regarding the closure of YaLLa Compass and will update the article with any information received.
