After years of waiting, Valorant Mobile finally has an official release date, but fans in the west may still be disappointed.
Riot Games has officially revealed its plans to formally release Valorant Mobile. After opening up registration for a beta test in April 2025, the company is targeting August 19 as an initial launch. However, this first release will be limited to players in China. Riot has officially cofirmed an August release, and it has given no details on when a global version would launch. Still, the leak is potentially big news for Valorant fans who have been waiting years to play the mobile version.
The Valorant Mobile release date leak comes from an official WeChat group. The name of the group chat is Fearless Contract Mobile Game, which is the Chinese title of Valorant. The official bulletin announced that the beta will officially begin on August 19, but it did not specify how long the beta test will be or what features will be included. Players will have to wait for reviews from the Chinese community to get a better understanding of how the game will play.

Riot has not confirmed Valorant Mobile for America
The upcoming Valorant Mobile beta test is exclusive to China, and Riot Games has not announced anything regarding an American release.
For the roughest estimate, we can look at Riot Games’ release pattern for League of Legends: Wild Rift. The game got an early open beta in Asia, excluding China, on October 27, 2020. It later released in the United States on March 29, 2021. The Chinese version of Wild Rift came out on October 8 the same year due to China’s governmental approval process. Riot may be frontloading the staggered release with China in order to get the approval process ironed out before a global release.

Wild Rift took five months to go from an initial region-locked beta to a full release in the United States. If that pattern holds, American Valorant fans could expect to get their hands on the game sometime around January 2026. However, this is purely speculative. Riot has not released any information about an English version of the mobile shooter.
