100 Thieves (100T) has announced its entry into VALORANT Game Changers with a roster led by 100T streamer Lydia ‘lidyuh’ Wilson.
For its inaugural Game Changers roster, the North American esports organisation has picked up the members of Frog Womp, which is currently competing in the region’s Stage 2 event.
VALORANT Game Changers (GC) was established by Riot Games in 2021 as the game’s premier competitive ecosystem for women and other marginalised genders. The circuit includes regional leagues across Americas, EMEA, China and Pacific, which culminate in the annual international GC Championship.
Lidyuh has been signed with 100T as a variety content creator for over a year. Between 2022 and 2023, she competed in the North American Game Changers scene for Immortals and Disguised GC. However, she returned to competition earlier this year when she reached fourth place at VCT Game Changers NA Stage 1 together with her team Frog Womp/ Aussie and Friends.
Frog Womp is also participating in the ongoing Stage 2 competition, which sees 16 NA squads compete for a $65,000 (~£48,900) prize pool and the chance to qualify for this year’s Championship in November. Its Swiss Stage kicked off on July 28th, where Frog Womp won its first match against Equinox.
However, lidyuh’s team must achieve three more wins to qualify for the double-elimination Main Event, starting on September 30th.
Who is Part of the 100T Game Changers Roster?
With the acquisition of Frog Womp confirmed, 100T’s first GC roster features:
- Lydia ‘lidyuh’ Wilson
- Jina ‘marceline’ Kim
- Emily “melya” Khan
- Presley ‘Slandy’ Anderson
- Jasmine ‘Jazzyk1ns’ Manankil
- Abdo ‘c4Lypso’ Agha (Head Coach)
- Anthony ‘thattree’ Duran (Assistant Coach)
Besides lidyuh, Jazzyk1ns is among the most experienced members of the team. The sentinel player began her VALORANT esports career in 2020 and has since represented several notable GC teams, including Cloud9 White and FlyQuest RED.
In a press release, lidyuh commented on her ambitions for Game Changers: “Being apart of 100 Thieves as a creator for the past year and a half has been nothing short of amazing. […] The team and I are so excited to represent such an amazing org and are all so thankful for their dedication to support Game Changers as a whole.
“We can’t wait to show yall what we’re capable of #100Twin. I’ve always wanted to prove myself as a competitor, and doing it with this org—where I’ve built so much already—makes it even more meaningful.”
