Try it again: Clair Obscur lets you repeat boss fights thanks to a new patch

Player request fulfilled – but that’s not all

The community has spoken – and the development team behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has delivered. With patch 1.3.0, the role-playing game gets a highly anticipated feature that not only saves frustration but also significantly improves the gameplay experience. Players can now decide immediately after losing a battle whether they want to challenge the boss again right away – without detours or long loading times.

This convenient feature is reminiscent of a similar system from genre counterpart Metaphor: ReFantazio, where this option was very popular. The difference: In Clair Obscur the feature fits even more seamlessly into the gameplay and saves unnecessary steps – a real bonus for anyone who likes to hone their skills in particularly tough battles.

New update brings more than just convenience

But that’s not all: Patch 1.3.0 also delivers in other areas. The revamped Pictos menu is particularly helpful, as it now finally displays the Lumina costs of all abilities. This allows players to better estimate in advance which actions they can afford in a turn – a valuable overview, especially in more complex battles. It’s these small but thoughtful improvements that make Patch 1.3.0 more than just a bug fix update. The team behind Clair Obscur has once again demonstrated its keen understanding of its community’s wishes and ensured that the game continues to gain substance even after its launch. Anyone who has been hesitating should take a closer look now.
