English Rocket League pro Jack ‘ApparentlyJack’ Benton has publicly expressed his frustrations with Epic Games.
The Dignitas player has blasted the developers for not fixing the issues with DDoS attackers that have plagued the game for years.
A denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is “a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service, or network.”
This has been ruining online matches of Rocket League for well over a year, stopping esports pros from getting practice.
It has also put a dampener on celebrations as the game turned 10 years old earlier this month.
This is especially troubling with the Esports World Cup and RLCS World Championship coming up.
In fact, the EWC tournament is only a couple of weeks away with a $1 million (£758k) prize pool.
ApparentlyJack took his frustrations on the matter to Twitter, saying:
“No point trying to grind ranked when DDOSSERS are in every game right now.
“We are weeks out from the two biggest tournaments of the year, and we can’t play properly.
“The Rocket League team are on an infinite holiday glitch. 12 holidays per year minimum.
He then added that the issues are preventing him from streaming too:
“There is no point in streaming Rocket League right now unless you guys just want three-hour-long freeplay streams.”
Some pointed out that Rocket League recently improved its private match options, and pros could practice that way.
But different players will have their own ways of practising, and it doesn’t change that the long-standing issue hasn’t been solved.
This isn’t the only issue either, as there are growing frustrations in Rocket League’s esports scene.
Earlier this year, Karmine Corp refused Rocket League esports decals after a disagreement with the developers.

ApparentlyJack and Dignitas have had an impressive year after moving from North America to Europe.
They are up there as one of the strongest teams at EWC, with Rocket League betting sites giving them around 15/2 to win.
However, the 2025 Major winners, Team Falcons and Karmine Corp, are the heavy favourites for the tournament in Saudi Arabia.
Other strong contenders are Team Vitality and Alexis ‘zen’ Bernier, who is considered one of the game’s greatest ever players.
And new champions are guaranteed, as last year’s EWC winners, Team BDS, failed to qualify.
They are all the way down in 11th in the European rankings, allowing fourth-place Geekay Esports to take Europe’s final spot.
