T1’s Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok has added another record to his illustrious League of Legends career while competing at the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2025).

During the match between T1 and Gen.G on July 10th, 2025, the five-time world champion scored his 1,000th kill in international tournaments.

The accolade was achieved during game two of the upper bracket final, a chaotic battle between the two sides that saw T1 emerge victorious to level the series.

Faker is the first player in League of Legends history to reach this particular milestone, having competed in international events over the past 12 years. His first international kill arrived during his debut international event at the 2013 World Championship, where SKT T1 faced off against Lemondogs.

The international kill milestone is the latest addition to Faker’s impressive list of achievements earned throughout his career. Alongside international kills, Faker has won the most international tournaments, with five world titles and two MSI trophies to his name.

Faker holds numerous records in regional and international competitions. He was the first player to score 1,000, 2,000, and 3,000 kills in the LCK. In 2025, he became the first player to compete in 1,000 LCK matches.

Faker In 2025

Faker is widely regarded as the greatest League of Legends player of all time, and in 2025, he continues to feature at the pinnacle of the esport.

After scoring a top-six finish at the LCK Cup, T1 finished second at the LCK 2025 Road to MSI to secure a place in Vancouver, Canada.

Despite a 3-2 loss to Gen.G at MSI, Faker and T1 still has an opportunity to take home another international trophy. The South Korean organisation takes on either Bilibili Gaming or Anyone’s Legend in the lower bracket final on July 12th.

Victory sets up another clash against Gen.G, where Faker could potentially win a third MSI title.
