Caedrel reveals none of Los Ratones’ players have buy-out clauses

British League of Legends streamer Marc ‘Caedrel Lamont has said any of his Los Ratones players can leave if they want to.

The streamer created the NLC team Los Ratones at the start of the year, and they have dominated EMEA’s Tier 2 LoL scene.

Los Ratones have won two consecutive EMEA Masters and are the first UK-registered team to win the tournament.

So it’s understandable that there has been reported interest in their players, particularly jungler Veljko ‘Velja’ Čamdžić.

There have been reports from Sheep Esports that the rookie jungler was considered for the new Natus Vincere LEC roster.

The Ukrainian organisation recently joined the league after acquiring Rogue’s spot.

However, Velja has chosen to stay with Los Ratones, and NAVI are instead signing his EMEA Masters final opponent, Francisco ‘Thayger’ Mazo, according to reports.

Speaking on his own stream, Velja claims that multiple LEC teams recently reached out to him:

“Three, literally three LEC teams wanted to get me for Summer Split. I was like nah. Caedrel wanted me out, I was like nah I’m staying, sorry Caedrel.

“I’m so good that three LEC teams wanted me for Summer, it’s crazy I know chat… I’m just too good.”

It’s worth noting, Velja has become well known for rage-baiting and winding up his teammates, so it may be best to take his words with a pinch of salt.

Caedrel was then asked about it on his own stream and stated that Velja could go if he wanted to:

“No, Velja is not jailed. I will tell you straight up, every player on Los Ratones is free for the taking. No buyout, they’re not under contract for a certain amount of time.

“The way their contract works, they can message me on Discord today and say they want to leave, and they’re gone. I don’t even have to say anything, they can just leave. No buyout, nothing.”

Caedrel then added that as far as he’s aware, all the players want to stay, but reiterated he won’t be involved in negotiations:

“If anyone wants any of the Los Ratones boys to join their team, you can take them… They just stay if they want to stay, and they want to stay, which is nice.

“I don’t know what happened. Obviously, I’m not an agent or NAVI but from what was said, Velja was talked to and considered a lot and he just said no.”

Velja may not be joining but Thayger is still an excellent signing for NAVI, judging by his performances for Barça eSports.

You can bet on how well NAVI will perform on LoL betting sites.
