EA FC 26 leak claims return of popular league

Yet another leak has revealed more news about the upcoming EA Sports FC 26 game.

According to reliable leaker FUTSheriff and numerous other accounts, Mexico’s Liga MX will return to the franchise.

The premier Mexican division and all of its official licences were removed from the eFootball 2025 game earlier this week.

The Konami title removed all of the league’s 18 clubs earlier this week after their exclusivity deal ran out.

This has allowed EA Sports to swoop.

Liga MX hasn’t been present in any of the EA FC games, with its last appearance coming in FIFA 22.

There wasn’t even a fake version of the league included since so EA FC players haven’t been able to play in any Mexican league.

According to the leaked details, EA have secured a five-year agreement to bring Liga MX back to the EA FC franchise.

The league will be fully licensed, including all of its clubs, though EA is apparently aiming for exclusive deals with six clubs:

Club América, Chivas, Cruz Azul, CF Monterrey, Pumas, and Tigres.

This news comes after the EA FC 26 release date leaked, as well as the fact that Jude Bellingham will return as the cover athlete.

This news will give EA FC fans hope that more licenses removed from Konami’s eFootball will be added to FC 26.

Namely, there are hopes that Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena will return in EA FC 26.

And many players, especially Career Mode fans, are hoping that all of the major clubs from Italy’s Serie A will be included.

EA Sports Senior Producer comments on EA FC 26 for the first time

So far, EA Sports have kept quiet about EA FC 26. Other than asking fans who they want to see on the cover.

While no official details have been announced, EA Senior Producer Samuel Rivera has publicly commented about the game.

Translated from Spanish, he says EA FC 26 will be very different from its predecessor:

“The only thing I can say is that we’ve never worked so closely with the community. We’re giving a huge priority to exactly what the community has told us they want us to improve in the game.

“We’ve always listened, but now we’re fully integrated into the community for the next game.”

“When we play the new game and then the old one, we feel the difference. The difference I’m feeling today… I’ve probably never seen such a big difference.”

No matter how much the game changes, one thing will remain the same. How expensive Ultimate Team is.
